I cannot say whether the different types of Ceramic Disc Foot(ers) have successfully eliminated all forms of vibration or their respective degree thereof. However, in term of improved sound quality, I dare say that they have improved the vividness, there-ness/sensation, imaging, presence/weight, transparency/detail, energy/transient, and soundstage(width, height, depth and atmosphere), in the total presentation. COULD ANYONE AFFORD NOT HAVING ‘EM AFTER THE EXPERIENCE?
Finally, installing the Ceramic Disc Fat Foot(ers) below the much heavier audio components (amplifiers, loudspeakers, Aries Cerat Kassandra 2 LE DAC, Aries Cerat Incito S preamplifier, etc), together with the Ceramic Disc Slim Foot(ers) and Ceramic Disc Classic(s) under the above mentioned audio components, brought about another level of transparency, control, definition, and power to the total sound quality. Here, the mid bass and its punch were more tangible, control, define and clean, as in Donald Fagen’s “THE NIGHT FLY” (Mofi UltraDisc One-Step Pressing UD1S 2-003).
In addition, the soundstage started to envelope further and closer to the sitting position, and with depth, width and height expanded equally. There was that sensation of breathing and seated in the same atmosphere of the recording venue (if the details were in the native recording).
Having an expansive and enveloping soundstage without good imaging is not a plus point to any audiophile (right?!). Here, with all the foot(ers) in placed, I am thrilled to report that the imaging of the musicians was more focused, delineated, palpable, and denser. I believed that the resulted obvious spacing among the musicians did contribute to the above.
When it came to the really low bass from the big drums of the Boston Pops Orchestra under the helm of John Williams in the “PARADE OF THE SLAVE CHILDREN” from INDIANA JONES AND THE TEMPLE OF DOOM (John Williams. Steven Spielberg Collaboration. The Ultimate Collection. SONY CLASSICAL (Vinyl) MOVATM 200), I could easily detect their position, follow their direction and feel the clean waves of those low frequencies. What impressed me more was hearing and feeling the slightest of hit or brush at those drum at the furthest back of the orchestra.

We tried the Franc Audio Accessories Ceramic Disc feet under several components and loudspeakers. First up were Eggleston Emma Evolution loudspeakers; these weigh just over 31kg and stand 109cm tall on their cone feet. Switching from Slim to Fat feet brought a calmness to a very appealing production, the sound becoming relaxed and yet remaining precise as if reducing distortion. In another piece of music, the reverb became more accurate, and there was more space between notes, a string quartet sounding less frenetic and more cohesive.
I tried the Slim and Fat Franc Audio Accessories feet under a pair of PMC twenty5.26i speakers, which have a degree of built-in isolation. Dropping the Franc Audio Accessories Fat feet under the same speakers did the same again. They enhanced decay, scale and depth of image before making it clear that there was rather more drama and feeling in the piece than is usually apparent. It became very involving, which doesn’t often happen with Haydn quartets in my experience.
The Franc Audio Accessories Ceramic Disc isolation feet work and work very well. They are well built and finished to a high standard. If you want a better idea of what your system is capable of and what your music sounds like, I suggest you give them a spin.

Swapping in the Fat feet results in a calmer, more precise sound that’s more involving. On a string quartet the reverb is cleaner and there’s more space between the notes, suggesting lower noise and resulting in better timing, in short making the music more enjoyable.
I went back to a different pair of speakers later on, trying the Slim feet under PMC twenty5.26i floorstanders. This was also a positive move despite the degree of isolation that is built into the base of this speaker. They became calmer and more tonally rich with distinctly better timing, the Grateful Dead getting their boogie back in clear-cut fashion thanks to more easily discernible interplay between musicians and less hash in the high energy sound of this band’s Europe ’72 live album. Putting in the Fat feet did the same again but to a greater degree, they clearly offer better isolation and allow the speakers to deliver more of the inspiration in the music and thus make it more involving.
